Could a PG-13 rating save the lives of millions? Ellen DeGeneres, Madonna and Justin Bieber think so. These big names and more are all doing their part to budge the MPAA from their “R” rating of the soon-to-be released documentary Bully, arguing a PG-13 rating would allow the film’s target audience (adolescents) the opportunity to enter theaters without adult supervision.

“It seems to be a real big problem in our society right now, so I hope that kids get to see it,” argued 30 Rock‘s Jane Krakowski to IN THE MIXX‘s entertainment correspondent, Gina Giordan, exclusively at the Roundabout Theater’s 2012 Spring Gala in NYC.

Director Lee Hirsch spoke to The Insider‘s Kevin Frazier about his controversial new movie and his appreciation for Hollywood getting the word out about his powerful film.
